Get an MBA–and sit for the CPA exam.

Want to become a CPA in the State of New York, but don’t have enough educational credits? Now you have an answer! Canisius College’s MBA in Professional Accounting (known colloquially as the “MBAPA”) is a wholly-graduate program designed to satisfy the educational requirements needed to sit for the New York State CPA examination.

Although most MBA programs — in Buffalo and around the United States — offering concentrations in Accounting, these  programs are typically not sufficient to fulfill the credit hours needed to sit for a state’s CPA exam. This poses a problem for those working in the accounting industry — or for those who wish to become accountants — who did their undergraduate coursework in an unrelated discipline.

Canisius’ Master of Business Administration in Public Accounting not only satisfies these educational requirements, but also provides students with the MBA degree itself. Get the best of both worlds at Canisius College — Buffalo’s only graduate business degree program in accounting.
