Make sure your ride has inflated tires, clean oil, good spark plugs, and a clean air filter. And don’t lug around unnecessary baggage in your car; the extra weight actually eats up gas.
You should also use the Internet to find the cheapest gas in your neighborhood. Web sites such as GasBuddy.com and GasPriceWatch.com keep track of gas prices in a number of cities.
